Yes. Paired with a manual transfer switch, the HomePower 3000 can power up to 6 of your home's essential circuits during a blackout. For everyday use it's also true plug-and-play — just plug appliances straight in.

How fast does it recharge?+

About 2.2 hours from a standard wall outlet (1800W). Combine AC + solar (2500W) and it's roughly 1.7 hours. With 400W of solar alone it's about 11 hours, and it can even top up from a gas generator in ~2.2 hours.

Can it be used as a UPS?+

Yes. In UPS mode it runs your devices off grid power, then switches to battery within about 20 milliseconds if the power drops. Note it isn't a 0ms switch, so it's not recommended for ultra-sensitive equipment like data servers.

Is it expandable?+

No — the HomePower 3000 is a standalone 3kWh unit and doesn't accept add-on batteries. If you need expandable capacity, the 2000 Plus and 5000 Plus series support battery expansion.

Will it stay charged in storage?+

Yes. ZeroDrain technology means it holds about 95% of its charge even after 12 months sitting on the shelf — so your backup is ready whenever you need it, no constant top-ups.
