Why Z8 Pro

One bike. Commute, errands, weekend rides.

The Z8 Pro isn't a stripped-down commuter or a weight-cut performance bike. It's a moped-style fat-tire eBike built for riders who want one machine that does everything — daily commute, grocery runs, trail rides, weekend cruising. Dual 48V batteries give you 100–150 miles per charge cycle in pedal-assist mode. 1,500W peak motor handles 35° climbs at full load.

This is the only Z8 currently available — Z8 base and Z8 S are sold out. Reserve now and your bike ships from June 30. No charge until shipment — Affirm financing locks in your rate today, charge clears at fulfillment.

$1,299. 1500W peak. 32 mph. Dual battery. UL 2849. Class 1-3 selectable.

The three real questions

Honest answers before you reserve.

01
"Is presale safe? When does my card actually charge?" Card authorizes today, charges at shipment (June 30 or later if RidingTimes' US warehouse delays). Affirm financing locks your rate now — actual loan starts at delivery. Cancel anytime before ship date for full refund.
02
"Is this street legal where I live?" Class 1-3 selectable via the LCD speed-limit setting. Most US states classify 28 mph max as Class 3 — you'd ride the Z8 Pro at the manufacturer's speed-limit setting that matches your state's class definition. Riders are responsible for setting and obeying their state's class limit.
03
"Why dual battery instead of one bigger battery?" Two reasons: charge faster (parallel chargers), and ride further on long days (carry the spare in the included rack bag, swap mid-ride for 150-mile total range). Single-battery commuter bikes top out at 75 miles — the Z8 Pro doubles it.
Z8 Pro motor and dual-battery system
Section 01 · Powertrain

Dual-battery range. Single-throttle simplicity.

1,500W peak rear hub motor. Twin 48V 15.6Ah removable batteries (1,500Wh combined). 80 N·m torque, 35° max climb angle.

Powertrain

Built for distance, designed for daily.

The Z8 Pro runs a 750W rated rear gear hub motor that peaks at 1,500W — strong acceleration off the line, smooth power delivery at cruising speed. RidingTimes designed this motor in-house specifically for the Z8 line, with enhanced low-speed climbing torque and a 35° max grade rating. Dual 48V 15.6Ah removable batteries combine for 1,500 watt-hours — enough for 100–150 mi of pedal-assist or 50–74 mi on throttle alone.

01
750W rated / 1,500W peak rear gear hub motorDesigned in-house by RidingTimes for the Z8 line. 80 N·m torque. Smooth power delivery, strong acceleration, climbs 35° grades at full 220 lb load.
02
Dual 48V 15.6Ah removable batteries (1,500Wh)UL 2849 certified. Twin 48V/2A chargers included. Built-in USB lets the battery double as a portable power source for phones, lights, or accessories during your ride.

Z8 Pro fat-tire frame and suspension detail
Section 02 · Frame & ride

Moped style. Fat-tire stability.

20" × 4" all-terrain fat tires. 6-level full suspension with hydraulic fork + dual-spring rear. Dual 160mm disc brakes with EABS. Memory-foam seat with optional 21.5" extension.

Frame & Ride

Comfort-first. Confidence-builder.

The Z8 Pro is built around a moped-style frame geometry — feet-forward riding position, low standover, wide handlebars. 20-inch by 4-inch fat tires absorb cracks, gravel, and curb cuts that smaller-tire commuters can't handle. 6-level full suspension uses an aluminum hydraulic fork up front and double-spring rear shocks. The optional seat extension turns the bike into a two-rider cruiser.

01
20" × 4" fat tires + full suspensionAluminum hydraulic suspension fork (CNC-machined) with double-spring rear shocks. Soaks up bumps, potholes, and trail roots that destroy standard commuter ride quality.
02
Dual 160mm disc brakes + EABSMechanical disc brakes front and rear with electronic anti-lock support. Reliable stopping power even at 32 mph fully loaded.
03
Memory-foam seat + LED night visibilityHigh-elasticity memory foam adapts to body shape over long rides. Bright front/rear LED system with brake-light integration. Optional seat extension expands from 12" to 21.5" for two-rider use.

Honest fit check

Z8 Pro is not for everyone.

$848 is real money — and presale means waiting until June 30 for delivery. Here's who the Z8 Pro is built for, and who should look at a different bike.

Reserve the Z8 Pro if you...

Want one bike for commuting, errands, AND weekend cruising — moped style works for all three.
Need real range — 100-150 miles pedal-assist on dual batteries beats every single-battery commuter bike.
Live in a hilly area or carry cargo — the 1,500W peak motor handles 35° climbs at full 220 lb load.
Want street-legal flexibility — Class 1-3 selectable lets you ride in bike lanes (Class 1/2) or roads (Class 3).
Can wait for June 30 ship date — Z8 base and Z8 S are currently sold out, this is the only Z8 available.

Skip Z8 Pro if you...

×
Need a bike right now — presale ships June 30. If you can't wait 6+ weeks, look at the GT54 ($999) or GT73 ($1,499) — both in stock.
×
Want off-road dirt-bike performance — the Z8 Pro is moped-style and street-class. For dirt riding, get the GT54 PRO or GT73 PRO.
×
Weigh over 220 lbs — that's the manufacturer max load with both batteries installed. Heavier riders should look at the GT73 PRO (286 lb max).
×
Won't ride more than 25 miles per trip — you're paying for dual-battery range you'll never use. A single-battery commuter at $700 is the right buy for short hops.
×
Want to ride above 28 mph on public roads in restrictive states — Class 3 caps at 28 mph in most US states. Don't expect to legally hit 32 mph everywhere.

Questions answered

Direct answers.

Still unsure? 833-399-3837 Mon–Fri · 9am–6pm CT · Real humans
01When does my Z8 Pro actually ship?+
RidingTimes' published presale ship date is June 30, 2026, from their US warehouse. Manufacturer presale dates can slip 1–4 weeks; we'll email you the exact dispatch date once your unit is queued for shipping. Standard freight delivery to the lower 48 is 3–7 business days after dispatch.
02When does my card actually charge?+
Card authorizes today, charges at shipment. If you use Affirm financing, your rate locks today and the loan begins at delivery. Cancel before ship date for a full refund — no restocking fee, no questions asked. Once shipment is in transit, standard 30-day return policy applies.
03What's the difference between Z8, Z8 S, and Z8 Pro?+
Same 750W rated / 1,500W peak motor across all three. Same 32 mph top speed, same 220 lb max load, same 80 N·m torque. Differences: Z8 base has single 48V 15.6Ah battery (50–75 mi PAS range). Z8 S has single larger 48V 20.8Ah battery (67–100 mi PAS) plus hydraulic disc brakes. Z8 Pro has dual 48V 15.6Ah batteries (100–150 mi PAS) plus a 10L rack bag included. Z8 base and Z8 S are currently sold out — Z8 Pro is the only one available.
04Is the Z8 Pro street legal?+
The Z8 Pro is sold as a Class 1-3 e-bike with a selectable speed-limit setting on the LCD display. Class 1 (pedal-assist only, 20 mph) is legal in all 50 US states and on most bike paths. Class 2 (throttle assist, 20 mph) is legal in most states and many paths. Class 3 (pedal-assist, 28 mph) is legal on roads and bike lanes in most states but restricted from some bike paths. The Z8 Pro's 32 mph max exceeds Class 3 limits — riders must set the LCD speed limit to 28 mph or lower for legal Class 3 operation. Riders are responsible for setting and obeying their state's class limits.
05What's the real-world range?+
RidingTimes' published range: 50–74 mi throttle-only / 100–150 mi pedal-assist on the dual-battery system. Real-world: aggressive throttle on flat ground delivers 50–60 mi; pedal-assist mode 1 with both batteries cruising at 15-20 mph delivers 130-150 mi. Cold weather, hills, headwinds, and rider weight all reduce range — expect 50–80% of rated range in real conditions.
06Does it ship assembled?+
Approximately 85% pre-assembled. Final setup is 30–45 minutes: install the front wheel (quick-release axle), attach handlebars, install front headlight, install front rack bag, fit both batteries, and run a pre-ride safety check. Tool kit included. RidingTimes publishes installation video tutorials on their YouTube channel for each step (front wheel, headlight, controller).
07What's the warranty?+
2-year RidingTimes manufacturer warranty on motor, controller, batteries, frame, and electronics. Swag House is an authorized RidingTimes dealer — warranty claims go through us by phone or email and we coordinate parts shipment from RidingTimes' US warehouse. Excludes: tire wear, brake pad wear, accident damage, water damage beyond IPX4 splash, modification damage, improper-charging damage.
08Can two people ride together?+
The optional Z8 Removable Seat Extension ($39.99 sold separately) extends the seat from 12 inches to 21.5 inches, allowing a passenger. Combined rider weight must stay under 220 lbs total. Range drops by ~30–40% with two riders. The Z8 Pro frame and brakes are rated for two-rider use; standard commuter eBikes typically aren't.
