ILM JK313 DOT-rated full-face motorcycle helmet ships free with every GT73. Required safety gear at 37 mph — included so you can ride day one.

What this is

It's a dirt bike that happens to have pedals.

The GT73 isn't a fat-tire e-bike. It's a 116-pound electric dirt bike with motorcycle-grade tires, hydraulic disc brakes, full suspension, and a dual battery system — with pedals as a fallback.

That's the pitch: the look, weight, and presence of a dirt bike without the licensing, insurance, registration, or fuel costs.

The three real questions

Honest answers to what you're actually thinking.

01
"Is this just another fat-tire e-bike?" No. 2,400W peak motor and 106 N·m torque put it firmly in electric-motorbike territory. It exceeds federal e-bike limits — it's legitimately built as off-road.
02
"Why is it under $2K when others charge $3K+?" Direct authorized-dealer pricing. No retail markup. Same RidingTimes warranty as anywhere else. Ships from California, not overseas.
03
"Can I trust it?" UL 2849 certified battery system. 2-year manufacturer warranty handled directly through Swag House. 30-day returns. Real BBB-registered US dealer with phone support.
Why riders pick the GT73

Three reasons it's a real machine.

Power, range, and build quality are the only three things that matter on dirt. The GT73 over-delivers on all three at this price point.

01POWER

Real torque.
Not marketing.

1,200W rated brushless hub motor peaking at 2,400W with 106 N·m of torque. Climbs hills that stall lighter e-bikes. Half-twist throttle hits 37 mph on flat ground without pedaling.

02RANGE

Two batteries.
One ride.

Dual 48V 18.2Ah removable lithium packs combine to 1,747 Wh. 68 mi throttle, 155 mi pedal-assist. Swap a charged spare on the trail — never wait through a 9-hour recharge again.

03BUILD

Dirt-bike DNA.
Bicycle pedals.

Carbon steel frame. Hydraulic front fork, rear mono-shock. 25-inch off-road motorcycle tires on aluminum alloy rims. Front + rear hydraulic disc brakes. 116 lbs of real machine.

Numbers that matter

Every spec verified.

Sourced directly from the RidingTimes factory specification sheet. No marketing inflation, no "up to" hedging on the headline numbers.

2400WPeak motor

1,200W rated brushless hub peaking at 2,400W for hill climbs and acceleration off the line.

37MPHTop speed

Manufacturer rating measured without rider load. Real-world speed varies with terrain and rider weight.

68MIThrottle range

Dual battery system. Add pedal assist to push range to 155 miles per full charge cycle.

155MIPedal-assist range

3 modes × 5 levels of pedal assist. Real-world range 100–130 mi on mixed terrain at moderate effort.

48V×2Dual battery

2× 18.2Ah removable lithium packs. UL 2849 certified. Charge indoors, swap on the trail.

106N·mTorque

Strong low-end pull for dirt, gravel, and hills. Half-twist throttle for controllable application.

25INOff-road tires

70/100-19 motorcycle-grade knobby tires on 7074 aluminum alloy rims. Built for impact, not pavement.

2YRWarranty

RidingTimes manufacturer warranty on motor, controller, battery, frame, and electronics.

Pick the right power level

GT73 vs PRO vs the rest.

Two RidingTimes trims, plus how the GT73 stacks up against typical fat-tire e-bikes you'll see in cold ads. The PRO has more headroom — but the base GT73 wins on price-per-watt and is plenty for most off-road riders.

Not for everyone.

The GT73 is a real off-road dirt bike. That makes it perfect for some riders and wrong for others. Better to know now than after delivery.

Pick the GT73 if you...

Want a stronger ride than a typical commuter e-bike — real torque, real off-road feel.
Ride private property, off-road trails, gravel roads, or open land where federal e-bike limits don't matter.
Care about range — dual removable batteries let you carry a charged spare for all-day rides.
Want aggressive dirt-bike styling without jumping into the $4,000+ Surron-class motorcycle tier.
Are buying for a teen rider 14+ under adult supervision (286 lb max load, 5'5"–6'3" rider height).

Skip it if you...

×
Need a lightweight city commuter — at 116 lbs and 37 mph, this is heavier and faster than what most cities allow.
×
Need a product that's federally street-legal everywhere — it exceeds the 750W e-bike threshold.
×
Won't wear DOT-rated motorcycle safety gear (helmet, gloves, boots, goggles).
×
Want the absolute cheapest e-bike — there are 500W commuters under $800 if that's your priority.
×
Don't have a place to charge two batteries safely (garage outlet, shed, basement).

Questions answered

Direct answers.

Still unsure? 833-399-3837 Mon–Fri · 9am–6pm CT · Real humans
01Is the GT73 street legal?+
No — the GT73 is built and sold as an off-road electric dirt bike. Its 1,200W rated motor and 37 mph top speed exceed the US federal pedal-assist e-bike definition (which caps at 750W and 20–28 mph for Class 1/2/3). Legal use: private property, motocross tracks, off-road trails, and approved off-road areas. Some states classify it as a moped requiring registration — check your state and local laws before riding on any public road.
02When does it ship?+
Orders placed before 2pm CT on a business day ship the same day from our California warehouse. Standard freight delivery to the lower 48 is 3–7 business days. We email you a tracking number when the carrier picks it up. There are 1,717 units in stock right now.
03Does it ship assembled?+
It ships approximately 85% pre-assembled. Final setup is 60–90 minutes: install front wheel, handlebars, pedals, mirror, signal lights, fit both battery packs, and run a pre-ride safety check. The included tool kit covers everything. If you'd rather have a shop finish assembly, most local bike shops handle it for $50–$100.
04What's the real-world range?+
RidingTimes-rated: 68 mi throttle-only, 155 mi pedal-assist. Real-world: aggressive throttle riding usually delivers 40–55 miles. Pedal + throttle on flat-ish terrain: 100–130 miles. The dual-battery system means you can carry a charged spare and hot-swap on the trail for effectively unlimited range.
05What safety gear do I actually need?+
At 37 mph, this is on the edge of motorcycle territory. Bicycle gear isn't enough. Required minimum: DOT-rated motorcycle helmet (NOT a bicycle helmet — included free on first 100 orders), goggles, riding gloves, over-the-ankle boots, long pants. Body armor strongly recommended for trail riding — knee/elbow pads at minimum. The included ILM JK313 covers the helmet requirement; safety gear beyond the helmet is sold separately.
06What's the warranty if something breaks?+
2-year RidingTimes warranty on motor, controller, battery, frame, and electronics. Swag House is an authorized RidingTimes dealer — warranty claims go through us by phone or email and we coordinate parts shipment from RidingTimes' US warehouse. Register your bike within 30 days of delivery to activate the full coverage period.
07Why does charging take 9–10 hours?+
9–10 hours per battery is the trade-off for the lower price point — base GT73 uses 48V 2A BMS chargers (vs the GT73 PRO's faster chargers on a 60V system). The dual-battery setup mitigates this: charge both simultaneously with the included dual chargers and you're at full capacity overnight. If fast-charging matters more than price, the GT73 PRO at $1,999 charges in 5–6 hours.
08What if I want the GT73 PRO instead?+
The PRO has a 60V system, 3,000W peak, 50 mph top speed, 338 N·m torque, and 5–6 hour charging vs the base 9–10. If you want the performance ceiling and the extra $500 isn't an issue, go PRO. The PRO comes with a free ILM Model 902 modular helmet ($99 value) on the first 100 orders. Compare GT73 PRO →
